My wife and I were both raised in Massachusetts and grandchildren of legal immagrants, however we left Massachusetts for work and affordable lifestyles/housing, realistic taxes/fees, and opportunity. We didn’t have the connections for a state job with no heavy lifting, a union connection, or any political “friends”.
Having lived in every region of the country (Northeast, Southwest, Northwest, Midwest and Deep South) as well as visited or lived on every Continent except Antarctica I have always wanted to move back “home” to the Massachusetts region.
However, this just wasn’t possible, between the dreadfully corrupt and nepotistic politics, outrageous taxes/fees, insane housing costs, appauling moral standards, civility, and NIMBY (Not in my back yard) Hypocrisy, we just could not raise our family there.
Perhaps someone like Mr. Shiva can spark a change in that region and we can find opportunity to move our family back home and be close to our core families again.
Good luck sir and God’s Speed!
