Republican primary candidate Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, who is running for US Senate, has become a fixture on this season’s campaign trail. The candidate usually goes by “Dr. Shiva” or just “Shiva” to his campaign supporters. With his busloads of supporters criss-crossing the state nearly every day, Dr. Shiva is a familiar sight. As the September 1st Republican primary approaches, Shiva is counting not only on the Republican faithful to put him over the top, against a candidate whom he says is a hand-picked lawyer from the Republican establishment, but on “unenrolled”-status voters.
