Shiva 4 Senate Text Messaging (SMS/MMS) Program — Terms and Conditions
Last updated: September 19, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the Shiva 4 Senate text messaging program (the “Program”). The Program is operated by Shiva 4 Senate (“we,” “us” or “our”), the principal campaign committee of Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, candidate for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts (FEC Committee ID C00936542). By opting in to the Program, you agree to these Terms.
1. Program Description
When you opt in, Shiva 4 Senate will send you recurring text messages (SMS and MMS) about Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai’s campaign for U.S. Senate. The types of messages you can expect are:
- Campaign news and updates
- Event invitations (rallies, town halls and other campaign events)
- Volunteer opportunities
- Voting and election reminders
- Surveys
- Fundraising requests
Donations may be solicited. Fundraising is a regular part of this Program, and donations will be solicited in some messages. Contributions are made through our secure donation page.
Contributions or gifts to Shiva 4 Senate are not tax deductible.
2. How You Join (Your Consent)
You join the Program only by taking a clear, affirmative step to opt in. To join, go to the Shiva 4 Senate text message sign-up form at https://shiva4senate.com/text-updates/, enter your mobile number, check the optional text-message consent box (the box is never pre-checked) and submit the form. After you opt in, the first message we send you will confirm your enrollment and tell you how to get help and how to opt out.
- Giving us a phone number for another purpose — for example, when you donate, volunteer, sign a petition or pledge your vote — does not by itself enroll you in the Program.
- Your consent to receive text messages is voluntary. It is not a condition of making a donation or purchase, volunteering, or taking part in the campaign in any way.
- By opting in, you agree to receive recurring text messages from Shiva 4 Senate at the mobile number you provided, including messages sent using automated technology.
- Your consent applies only to text messages from Shiva 4 Senate. It does not authorize any other candidate, committee, organization or third party to text you, and we do not transfer or assign your consent to anyone.
3. Message Frequency
This is a recurring message program. Message frequency varies and may increase around campaign events, fundraising deadlines and Election Day.
4. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Shiva 4 Senate does not charge you for these messages, but your mobile carrier’s standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.
5. How to Opt Out
You can cancel at any time. Reply STOP to any message from us. You may also reply END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, REVOKE or OPT OUT. When you opt out by text, we will send you one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. After that, you will receive no further messages from the Program unless you opt in again.
You can also opt out by emailing shiva4senate@shiva4senate.com or calling 855-324-6624. Please tell us the mobile number you want removed. We will honor any reasonable request to stop receiving our text messages, and we process email and phone requests promptly. If you change your mind, you can rejoin at any time by opting in again.
6. Help and Customer Care
For help, reply HELP to any message from us, or contact us:

7. Privacy
We respect your privacy. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number, text messaging opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We also do not give this information to any other candidate, committee or organization for its own use.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The only exception is for the service providers that help us operate the Program on our behalf, such as our texting platform, messaging aggregators, mobile carriers and website hosting providers. They may use your mobile information only to provide those services to us. Apart from that, we disclose your mobile information only if the law requires us to.
For more information about how we collect, use and protect your information, please read our Privacy Policy.
8. Carriers and Message Delivery
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The Program is available on major U.S. wireless carriers. Delivery depends on your carrier, device and coverage, so we cannot guarantee that every message will reach you.
9. Eligibility and Your Mobile Number
By opting in, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number you enroll. If you change or give up your mobile number, please reply STOP before you do, or contact us, so that messages are not sent to the next person assigned that number.
10. Changes and Governing Law
We may change, suspend or end the Program at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will post the updated Terms on this page with a new “Last updated” date. These Terms are governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
